A Blackpool dog grooming salon has started offering to wash homeless dogs for free. Ruby's Posh Paws has only been open for two weeks, but is already playing it's part supporting Blackpool's community in any way it can.
He told LancsLive: "I walk round Blackpool all the time and it makes me sad to see people struggle to take care of their dogs, so I thought if I can help them out by offering free washes, or a bit of free food or anything to help then I should.Ruby's Posh Paws opened officially at the start of the month, and Nathan say's they have had a brilliant response from the local community.
Nathan explained that he came up with the idea for offering the free service to Blackpool's homeless community after chatting to a homeless man in town. He said: "I was chatting to him and he told me he was too embarrassed to take his dog somewhere for a clean. It's what gave me the idea to offer the free washes.
