The Crew found a way to come back from 2-0 down and win 3-2 on the road to extend their unbeaten streak to six games.
CHICAGO — The really, really bad, no good first half from the Crew was erased by one the grittiest 45 minutes they have played this season, which brought them back from certain defeat and teed up a storybook ending for the player everyone had been waiting to see.
Rafael Czichos and Chris Mueller scored in the 29th and 41st minutes against a defense that had given up just three goals during a five-game unbeaten streak. The only shots the Crew had were from free kicks from Lucas Zelarayan. At that point, the Crew knew all they needed was one moment. One moment for their new designated player signing to get a chance to do what he was brough to Columbus to do.
