Safety works have begun amid fears the hotel could collapse in on itself at any minute.
Painstaking safety works have begun at the charred remains of the Station Hotel almost two weeks after a major blaze ripped through the historic building.
Workers geared up in hazmat suits and safety masks can be seen towering over the former grand hotel, as they attempt to remove dangerous loose timbers and other charred debris. It comes as disturbing drone footage emerged from above the gable end of the Station Hotel - which showed that floors of the Victorian building had collapsed and protective scaffolding had buckled during the intense blaze.
Last week the first images from a series of drone assessments were unveiled by South Ayrshire Council. The shocking images left residents fearing that time was up, with one resident calling the once grand hotel a "burnt out shell".
