Although Søren Le Schmidt’s was the last show of day 1 at Copenhagen Fashion Week, it seemed like everyone was there, and had been waiting all day in excitement.
The show was held in the large and open architectural space of the Paustian furniture store, with the audience seated across three different floors; a setting that was structure and fitting for the tailored nature of the brand.The show took us on a journey where the garments went from neon pink to blended blue, with pit stops at the familiar black and white in between.
The detailing was elaborate and elegant, with layers of fabric structured like lava over the models’ shoulders on dresses, blouses and gowns. Bulging shoulders were also a key feature this season, as were low cut v-necks and bare backs. The collection told a beautiful story through its’ details and use of colors, making it a very cohesive and a pleasant visual treat.
