The Cowboys face the Giants this week on Sunday Night Football
While in recovery, the Giants defensive back sent Prescott two books: “Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable” by Tim Grover and “The Mamba Mentality” by Kobe Bryant., oddly enough, against the Giants in Week 15 of the 2018 season.
“Relentless,” especially struck a chord with the 30-year-old quarterback. The book speaks about coolers, closers and cleaners. Apparently, Prescott identifies as a cleaner.. “Things I’ve always, not wondered, but am I going to drive myself crazy, trying to do this, trying to do that? “Then, so many chapters in that book explained, no, you’re a cleaner. You’re never satisfied, even with your best. You’re psycho about it.
“I don’t know. It’s weird. Sometimes I don’t think I’d ever be happy or have something happy from it , but it’s part of it.’’following the suicide of his brother in April 2020.“Damn, people talk about balance. How do I find a balance? Then you read the book and it’s like if you want to be great there is no balance,” he said. “Your balance is taking a little break, but you can’t compare that to someone else saying, ‘Oh, I’m trying to balance my work and my kids.’ My balance is different.
