People in south Armagh say there has been a new-found appreciation for social interaction.
The population of Whitecross might be small but community groups are at the heart of the villageThe effect of the Covid-19 pandemic has "hit a reset button" for people tackling rural isolation, according to community volunteers in south Armagh.
"In the winter nights it's very easy to stay in but if there's football on, if there's exercise classes on, you've something to get you out." The village now has regular "clubercise" classes for those who fancy a dancing workout with disco lights, and a new over-50s group to improve the wellbeing of the community.
