When travel reopens next year, fully vaccinated travelers from low-risk countries will not be required to quarantine while the ones arriving from medium-risk countries would need to undergo limited home quarantine, the prime minister said. Ardern added that unvaccinated travelers and arrivals from high-risk countries will have to complete a 14-day quarantine in a hotel run by the military.Ardern noted that the government will continue to follow the advice of experts on the matter and will maintain its zero-Covid strategy of completely eliminating the local spread of the virus.
