Members of the Scottish Covid Bereaved group spoke out about being sidelined as the hearings launched in Dundee
Families who lost loved ones to Covid-19 hit out at their “shameful” treatment as public hearings began into the pandemic response in Scotland.
Speaking for his bereaved clients, Mr Anwar said the inquiry was “teetering once more on the edge of a cliff with an embarrassing and shambolic start” Mr Anwar pointed out the judgement attacked Dr Croft’s “lack of cogency, consistency and rigour” and called him “flawed, unreliable, unconvincing”. The inquiry was thrown into turmoil last October when it was announced four members of its legal team had quit. Lady Poole, the inquiry chairwoman, then resigned citing personal reasons and was replaced by Lord Brailsford.
“It is shameful and retraumatising for the bereaved to see this Inquiry teetering once more on the edge of a cliff with an embarrassing and shambolic start.
