A new report says country radio stations play songs by female artists back-to-back just 0.5% of the time on average — continuing a decades-old problem.

Moreover, the majority of songs from women that are played back-to-back are not current singles. “Gold catalog” songs make up 36.2% of the back-to-back songs played by women, while recurrents account for 43.7%. Meanwhile, current singles from women artists accounted for just 20.1% of the small percentage of back-to-back airplay for songs performed by women.
