A councillor who suggested a rape victim was “more likely” a prostitute who was annoyed that a “punter didn’t pay” has vowed to appeal his expulsion by theShaun Slator, who was elected last year in the outer London borough of Bromley, has been expelled from the party over comments made on Twitter on New Year’s Eve, when

police put out an appeal for information about a rape under investigation in Plumstead, south-east London.Mr Slator was suspended from the party in January, but continues to sit as an independent councillor after Bromley Council declined to take action as he was not acting in his capacity as a councillor at the time of the comments.
