led all rookies in targets , receptions , and receiving yards en route to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year. But one of the biggest questions he and the Jets face in his second season is can he keep it up?
If the acquisition of Rodgers and the departure of Moore were the only major roster moves, a slump would seem completely out of the question for the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year. However, the Jets also brought in some extra help in their receiving corps in the form of two of Rodgers’ most reliable receivers from his time in Green Bay: Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb. In addition, New York signed former Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman to add some extra speed to their receivers room.
Last year, Lazard stepped into the leading receiver role in Green Bay after the trade that sent Davante Adams to Las Vegas. In 15 games, Rodgers targeted him 100 times—34 more times than the next receiver—for 60 catches, 788 yards, and six touchdowns.
