Coronation Street reviewed: With heartbreaking hospital scenes as Amy and Paul were forced to confront their fears
Coronation Street saw heart-wrenching drama centred on two of its characters in Wednesday night's episode . The harrowing scenes saw Amy Barlow and Paul Foreman at the hospital for different reasons, but both were left facing-up to trauma and confronting their fears.
There was a jarring moment as the doctor arrived and asked rather insensitively: "Going to be teetotal from now on then?. And just as we thought that was an unwelcome enough interruption, Aaron knocked on to check how Amy was.Sadly, Amy had to be the adult in the situation again after Steve looked set to knock Aaron out, and her parents eventually agreed to give them time to talk alone. "I came to say sorry," he told her. "For raping me?" she asked.
But Paul deflected his heartache by switching his focus to how long left he and his friend Dee-Dee Bailey had left on the car park. He stormed out and the tears finally started flowing, triggered by his anger over bad parking.
