Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, who plays fan favourite Eileen Grimshaw, is reportedly set to step away from the cobbles to appear on a celeb-packed BBC2 reality show
Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver is set to join an all-star cast on a new series of BBC reality show Pilgrimage, according to reports.
It is not the first time that Sue has stepped away from soap. She starred in 2022’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and fans were left shocked when she was the third contestant to be voted off. A source told the outlet how Pilgrimage had come at a “perfect time” for Christine as she starts to “shrug off” the heartbreak from the breakdown of her marriage to Paddy McGuinness and begins to explore the possibility of “finding new love”.
And last month she was left "absolutely incensed" after an online scammer used her image to promote their weight loss supplement. In a video shared to her Instagram, she said: “I’m really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. But, I’ve had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about… keto dummies.”
