Coronation Street character returns to soap after more than a decade as actress quits limelight
Coronation Street has reintroduced a character after more than a decade - with the original actress having left the role.
However, actress Macy Alabi, who has played the role for the past 11 years, has bowed out of the show. One of Macy's last scenes saw her wave goodbye to her stepmother Fiz in May, as she headed to Norwich for a job opportunity. Hope is expecting to land the lead role in the summer spectacular, but she's left furious when her sister Ruby gets it instead. Other youngsters including Eliza are instead picked to be Ruby's backing singers.
