Consumer confidence retook a dip again this week, dropping 1.8 points and reaching 55.9 in the Forbes Advisor-Ipsos U.S. Consumer Confidence Weekly Tracker. This week’s drop nearly erased last week’s hopeful rebound and resumed the rollercoaster of consumer uncertainty reflected in the survey over the previous month.This week’s drop was propelled by some of the most economically vulnerable Americans, including women, unemployed individuals and those living in rural areas.
