Home construction and sales are underway in one of the largest new residential communities in the fast-growing city of Midlothian.

A plot is marked as sold in a portion of BridgeWater, a master-planned community that spans over 960 acres, in Midlothian on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Plano-based Highland Homes is among the first builders to begin sales in BridgeWater. The company has 92 home sites in the community, with its homes starting in the $400,000s.Even before opening its model home this month, the builder had already sold 30 homes since February.
