Travis County sheriff’s deputies arrested and booked Erika Wulff Jones, 43, in county jail about 8:45 p.m. Friday. Court records showed she faces misdemeanor charges of assault causing bodily injury to a family member and resisting arrest, search or transport,Alex Jones, the Austin-based provocateur and founder of the right-wing media group Infowars, declined comment to AP about what happened or whether he was injured. But he attributed the incident to a recent change of his wife’s medication.
Jones added that his wife’s arrest “doesn’t concern my politics” and that “it wasn’t some kind of personal hateful thing or anything.”
