During Hispanic Heritage Month, everyone — including taco fans, visitors and Concord residents alike — is invited to check out the 41 Concord taquerias that comprise the city’s Taco Trail from now through Oct. 15. Whoever hits the most taquerias will become Concord’s 2023 Taco Trail Champion.
The challenge, organized by the city’s Visit Concord tourism agency, will award trophies to both the person who visits the most taquerias and the restaurant visited by the most challenge participants. It’s aimed at promoting the many family-owned restaurants that make Concord special, says Visit Concord spokesperson Sheri Nelson.
“We have a great amount of authentic taquerias in Concord, and we wanted to give them their due,” she says.
