A House committee report criticized the Washington Commanders, as well as the National Football League as a whole.

The United States House Committee on Oversight and Reform released a report on Thursday, saying that the Washington Commanders NFL franchise created a “toxic work culture” for more than 20 years and frequently were “ignoring and downplaying sexual misconduct” by men employed at the organization.

Snyder also was “often evasive and misleading” and testified more than 100 times “that he did not know or could not recall basic facts about his role as owner” of the team, the report said. The NFL “continues to minimize workplace misconduct across the league,” the report said. Additionally, it “has not protected workers from sexual harassment and abuse,” and “has not sought true accountability for those responsible.”
