Residents have been left concerned following a rise in anti-social behaviour.
Police have confirmed they will be carrying out patrols in Barrhead, after concerns were raised by members of the local community following incidents in the Church Road and Main Street areas.
Officers said they will continue to work with partners to combat anti-social behaviour and protect the local community.Sergeant James Higgins said:"We have seen a number of instances of anti-social behaviour, which has understandably caused some concern.
