. Join us as we all celebrate Queer Joy with an evening of dancing, panels, workshops, art installations, karaoke, and giveaways.
On Friday, June 28th from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. in Queens, you can embrace Chromat's commitment to empowering all bodies with the #ChromatBABES during a dance party, featuring DJs such as DJ Haram, LOKA and SHYBOI. As you wait to catch performances from Slayrizz a.k.a. Kristine M Reyes and AJA, hang out in a karaoke room , participate in a bell hooks-themed zine-making workshop with Fempower, and explore installations by Chromat and their community of queer collaborators.
The activities also include a panel on Queer Joy with Ericka Hart, Meredith Talusan Hanson, and Dese Escobar, which will be moderated by Niki Franco of Fempower. Plus, you can be one of the first to enjoy the 2019 Young Architects Program installation, Hórama Rama, an immersive jungle scape with a literal waterfall.
And let's just say this event includes a bouncy castle with installations by Pussykrew, in addition to giveaways for those who come in their best Chromat looks, and opportunities to buy merch at a pop-up shop with proceeds going to the
