College of DuPage is ramping up its dual credit program for area high school students this fall by giving them a new opportunity to get a jumpstart on their college careers.
College of DuPage is expanding up its dual credit program this fall by allowing high school students to take classes on its Glen Ellyn campus or one of its four satellite centers that will count toward both their high school and college degrees.
In addition to being able to attend classes on COD’s main campus in Glen Ellyn or at one of its college centers in Addison, Carol Stream, Naperville and Westmont, students can also take courses online or in a hybrid format in which they participate in-person and online.Haegele estimated between 6,000 to 7,000 students have enrolled in past school years and the hope is that number will increase.
“By graduating from high school with college credits already completed, students are ahead of their peers when they start college, both academically and financially.”
