As a whole, Oregon has recorded 25 sacks and allowed only 18 passes of 20-plus yards. That's one hell of a ratio, and if Utah can't run the ball efficiently -- the Utes are 65th in rushing success rate, but the Ducks are only 78th in rushing success rate allowed -- things could get dicey.lined up on offense, rushed 24 times for 226 yards and two scores, and caught six balls for 144 yards and two more scores. Utah was desperate for big plays, and he is, single-handedly, creating them.
Granted, that might suit OU's offense just fine. Kansas ranks 88th in defensive SP+, 114th in points allowed per drive and 117th in raw QBR allowed, and OU has quarterbackand a diverse passing game with four players between 318 and 438 receiving yards for the season. The Sooner defense might be slipping, but it should have some margin for error, at least.
It's probably not going to be Washington. Stanford's incredible comeback win over Colorado was the only sign of life the Cardinal have shown of late. They lost to Oregon and UCLA by a combined 84-13. Granted, Washington laid an alarming egg last week and needed a pick six to take the advantage in a 15-7 win over Arizona State. But the Huskies are nearly four-touchdown favorites, and Stanford's defense ranks dead last nationally in success rate.
The Blue Devils are 33rd in rushing success rate and fifth in rushing marginal explosiveness -- my measure for the magnitude of a team's successful plays, adjusted for field position -- but Louisville's defense ranks 24th and 20th, respectively. The Cardinals tackle brilliantly and limit big plays without having to play things too safely.

Oregon State still has a puncher's chance at the Pac-12 title , but they first have to survive an Arizona team that nearly upset Washington and USC and crushed Wazzu.Sometimes the best teams just have a bad week, you know? After overcoming a run of horrendous luck by going 4-1 in Week 7 to pop back over .500, we'll say I pulled a North Carolina in Week 8. A lot of assumptions turned out poorly, and my five best bets went 1-4. That dropped me back to 18-20-2 for the season .
