The counterclockwise circulation of air around Nicole will eventually help pull colder air down from the north and into Alabama, according to forecasters.It is expected to start working its way into Alabama on Friday. It will have some of the coldest air of the season behind it.
By Saturday more parts of the state will see temperatures dropping. High temperatures expected on Saturday will range from the upper 40s to low 50s in north and north-central Alabama and the 60s in south Alabama, where the cold air is slowest to arrive:A chill will really be in the air from Saturday night into Sunday morning, when some areas will fall below freezing.
Another night of below-freezing temperatures for north and north-central Alabama is expected by Monday morning . High temperatures next Monday and Tuesday will also stay on the cool side, with highs for much of the state expected to stay in the 50s except for a few 60-degree readings in south Alabama.
The cooler weather looks to hang around for a while.
