The 19-year-old American made fast work of Jelena Ostapenko in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open, rolling to a 6-0, 6-2 win on Tuesday afternoon.Coco Gauff advanced to the US Open semifinals with a win over Jelena Ostapenko.
Ostapenko, who was coming off an upset of No. 1 Iga Swiatek, did her part in helping Gauff advance with 36 unforced errors.Gauff will play the winner of the Sorana Cirstea and Karolina Muchova match, which gets underway Tuesday evening.
