MANY of life's building blocks may have 'formed in space', a study of organic material collected from the asteroid Ryugu has indicated.

in the Apollo group presently located some 150 million miles from the Earth. In December 2020, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency ’s Hayabusa2 spacecraft returned to Earth from its six-year-long survey mission to the asteroid. Scientists are just beginning to unravel the secrets of Ryugu by conducting studies on small portions of the 5.4 grams of sample rock, dust and gas collected by Hayabusa2 and dropped off at Earth in a special capsule designed to survive atmospheric re-entry.
