The UN wants to ensure that everyone on the planet is covered by early warning systems by 2027.

Crucially, the systems should also help inform governments, communities, and individuals on how to act to minimise damage. Campaigners have welcomed the idea of better warning systems but believe it's the least that the richer world can do for countries that are living with the impacts of a warmer climate.
