The late Maurice Reedus Jr., who called himself the Cleveland Sax man, played on downtown Cleveland streets. The Downtown Busker Program is back for it's second year in 2023 CLEVELAND, Ohio – Downtown Cleveland Inc., is bringing back the Downtown Busker Program for its second year.
The official street-performance program features 20 pre-selected “pitch” locations and guides for potential buskers to help them find their perfect “pitch.” Each pitch location was selected by Downtown Cleveland Inc. to maximize pedestrian visibility near hot spots and offer room for creative freedom in performing. Downtown Cleveland Inc. also has provided a guide for performers that includes suggested best practices including securing tip money and equipment, selling merchandise and how to not run afoul of city ordinances.
