The Cleveland History Center (CHC), headquarters for Western Reserve Historical Society, plans to host “History on Tap: A Celebration of Black Culture,” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
, headquarters for Western Reserve Historical Society, hosts “History on Tap: A Celebration of Black Culture,” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23. This event will take place at the CHC, 10825 East Blvd, Cleveland.
This year the CHC is honoring the life and works of late professional photographer Allen E. Cole, and the ongoing perspective of Black culture through art in Cleveland. The event will feature fashion designer and sewing educator, Dru Christine, the amazing photography talents of Manny Wallace, Derin Fletcher and Mychal Lilly, along with Sankifa Arts. The Cleveland Photo Fest will share its remarkable photography collection, and several more artists will be present.
This event will feature several interactive art stations, including an art therapy station run by Mickie McGraw Fellow Starr. Artists will have their art available for purchase. DJ 8 Bit will be the MC. A variety of small bites and beverages will be available for purchase as well as a limited cash bar.
