The first fatal shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m. Monday when officers were called to the area of East 93rd Street and St. Catherine Avenue, just north of Union Avenue. Police found a 52-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back. The victim, identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as Dwight Freeman of Cleveland, was pronounced dead at University Hospitals.
At about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 9400 block of East 141st Street. When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old man, identified by the medical examiner’s office as Kalen Vines of Euclid, with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. A second man, identified as Kevontae Antonio Deshawn Ruffin, 24, of Euclid, was found, also with multiple gunshot wounds, police say.
