ClassPass' new SmartTools are driving in millions of revenue to fitness studios across the country
ClassPass is widely known as the world’s leading fitness membership and a cult favorite throughout North America, Europe and much of the world. Consumers have booked 100 million classes through its 30,000 partners across nearly 30 countries. What’s less well known is the role ClassPass plays in helping fitness businesses thrive. Even the most highly recognizable studio chains and gyms face a major challenge.
“In the early years, I slept on a mattress on the floor of the apartment above our first location, hoping we would manage to keep the lights on above our first 25 bikes,” says Suski. “Every month, you’re paying for your rent, equipment and electricity regardless of how many riders come to class, so it’s pretty terrifying to see empty bicycles.”
SmartSpot helps studios manage their inventory by monitoring and predicting how many spots will fill with existing customers. SmartSpot can then sync with a studio’s existing reservation system and make real-time adjustments to the available spots for booking on ClassPass.
