Nottingham venues will host showings of the Women's World Cup 2023 as England's Lionesses play in their first ever final of the tournament. England will face Spain this Sunday in the nation's first World Cup final since the men's team's triumph in 1966.
We've put together some of the places where large crowds will likely be gathering to watch the game - and an explanation of why Nottingham City Council will not be organising any similar events.The Trent Navigation on Meadow Lane, a firm favourite with football fans, will be showing the final at The Big Shed, its outdoor screen which it claims is the largest in the Midlands. The doors will be open for breakfast from 10am, with a BBQ later on.
In a social media post promoting the showing, the pub said: "join us for [our] breakfast menu from 10am as you watch England take on Spain at their very first world cup final".
