Cindy Williams dead: Laverne and Shirley actress dies at 75
Williams was 75 years old. She had been struggling with a brief illness, according to a statement from her family's spokesperson.
“The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” the statement read. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.
Aside from the Happy Days spinoff, Williams is further known for the 1973 film American Graffiti and the 1974 film The Conversation.Penny Marshall, who played Laverne opposite Williams, died in 2018, also when she was 75 years old. She died due to complications from diabetes.
