Cigna, Express Scripts program to cap insulin costs at $25 for 30-day supply
Cigna Corp. CI, -2.01% and Express Scripts announced Wednesday its Patient Assurance Program, which caps costs for a 30-day supply of insulin at $25 for eligible people with diabetes. The average out-of-pocket cost in 2018 for users of insulin plans managed by Cigna and Express Scripts, which Cigna acquired in December, was $41.50 for a 30-day supply.
