FEARS over a potential Christmas lockdown have been fuelled over the weekend, with the government holding a Cabinet meeting on Monday to decide on a course of action amid skyrocketing Omicron cases.
Over the weekend, London mayor Sadiq Khan declared a"major incident" in the capital over the lightning advance of the Omicron variant since it was first detected in South Africa at the end of November.
