Christian Eriksen is set to get his first taste of action since suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020
Christian Eriksen will make his Brentford debut in the Bees’ Premier League match at home to Newcastle on Saturday, Thomas Frank has confirmed.
Fans were fearing the worst as he received treatment in front of the watching world, so his return to football is going to be a joyful moment for all involved. And while he’s taken a few weeks to build up his match fitness, making appearances in warm-up matches, the club’s head coach has revealed that Eriksen will be involved in the clash with the Magpies,Frank told journalists: “Christian Eriksen will be in the squad and he will get on the pitch tomorrow. It will be amazing. It’s a big day for all of us but especially Christian and his family when he walks onto that pitch.
“The key thing is that everything has been checked. All is good and there’s zero chance that something should happen and he and his family are aligned that he should play football. I think that’s very important. I can’t wait.
