He decided to name the album “Famous Friends,” because of the many people who helped him write, record, and produce it.
The lyrics reference some of the legendary artists who influenced him like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, George Strait, and the late Joe Diffie. “The thing about grief is sometimes it’s not all at once and then goes away. It comes in waves, and it goes back and forth, and it’s something you have to continually get through.”
He and Tenpenny, who co-wrote “At the End of a Bar,” were pleased to see the crowd’s positive response.
