Chris Evans and Ana de Armas are all smiles in a BTS image from their romantic action comedy Ghosted, which has wrapped filming.
Chris Evans reunites with Knives Out star Ana de Armas in a behind-the-scenes image from their new movie Ghosted as it wraps filming. Plot details are being kept under wraps for the film but it is being described as a romantic action comedy in the same vein as Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner's Romancing the Stone. Evans and de Armas are leading the ensemble cast of Ghosted that also includes Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Amy Sedaris, Tim Blake Nelson, Tate Donovan and Mustafa Shakir.
Development on Ghosted was first announced in mid-2021 when Evans and fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe star Scarlett Johansson entered talks to join the film with Rocketman's Dexter Fletcher directing on a script from Zombieland duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The film saw a slight change when Johansson was replaced by de Armas in December after the former had to depart the project due to a scheduling conflict.
With filming now concluded on Ghosted, one can hope further plot details for the movie are revealed in the near future. That being said, the tease of a Romancing the Stone-style adventure does prove an enticing prospect for the time being, especially with the adventure romantic comedy genre seeing a strong resurgence in recent years with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt's Jungle Cruise and Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum's The Lost City.
