MARTINEZ — A person died early Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 4, the California Highway Patrol said.
The agency still was at the scene at 6 a.m. and gathering details on the second fatal crash to occur on the highway this year. Two people have died in them. In 2022, 15 fatal crashes on the highway resulted in 19 deaths.The crash happened about 4:15 a.m. in the westbound direction just east of the Pine Street exit and blocked all lanes of the highway. The CHP issued a Sig Alert for severe traffic.Please check back for updates.
