Barcik is a much different style of defenceman than Zizka and fills a particular need on the blue-line.“I like his experience, playing against the pros last year in a good Slovakian top men’s league there,” said Blades general manager Colin Priestner. “I like his size a lot. He’s a right shot. Checks a lot of boxes for us in terms of what we were looking for to add to our defence. He speaks English and that’s usually a good sign that the transition will be easier than some Euros.”
