That may already be happening. Two of China’s state-owned commercial banks, Bank of China and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, havefor purchases of Russian commodities in an apparent move to limit exposure risk to international sanctions against Russia, Bloomberg reported Friday. The administration has made clear, however, that countries that support Russia’s aggression — including China — will pay a price for that complicity. “Nations that side with Vladimir Putin will inevitably find themselves on the wrong side of history. Nations that try to evade or work around these measures will experience the consequences of those actions,” a National Security Council spokesperson said in a statement.
