Children of the Corn is a 1984 horror film based on Stephen King's 1977 short story that was published in Penthouse magazine. Despite its negative reception upon release, the first film starring Linda Hamilton launched a horror franchise consisting of 10 sequels/reboots, most of which have been critically panned and released straight-to-video.
