The House GOP continues to threaten a government shutdown that could hurt families, and send the U.S. right over the childcare cliff.
Julie Kashen is director of women’s economic justice and a senior fellow at The Century Foundation, a leading progressive think tank. She is one of the nation’s leading experts on the issues affecting working families, having authored numerous studies on childcare, paid leave, equal pay and other topics.
Laura Valle Gutierrez is a fellow at The Century Foundation, where she works on economic policy and research to promote economic, disability, racial and gender justice. Lea Woods is a policy associate in the women’s economic justice department at The Century Foundation where her work focuses on a range of issues, including paid family leave and child care. Prior to joining The Century Foundation, Lea worked for the Economic Analysis and Research Network at the Economic Policy Institute , where she organized conferences and convenings for state-level think tanks and advocacy groups.
Jessica Milli is a study director at Institute for Women's Policy Research and a scholar in residence at American University.
