Police and paramedics were called to the scene
On Sunday, Merseyside Police were called to Formby Beach after reports a girl had been injured after falling from a pony. The force has confirmed that the child had been riding and was pulled a short distance along the beach.
The girl suffered minor bruising to her legs and was in the care of her parents and paramedics when police left the area. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We received a report at 3.35pm of a child having fallen from a small pony and being pulled a short distance.
