BREAKING: Chicago Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz dies at age 70
Rocky Wirtz, the principal owner of the Chicago Blackhawks franchise, died on Tuesday, Danny Wirtz and the family shared in aWirtz, 70, is the fifth principal owner in franchise history. He inherited ownership of the team from the death of his father, Bill Wirtz, in 2007. Arthur Wirtz, Rocky's grandfather, purchased a stake in 1950 and acquired majority ownership in 1966.
