Glasgow will feature in Rick Stein's series with the chef remembering the late Anthony Bourdain who loved our city - and the cafe
World famous chef Rick Stein has teased an upcoming episode about Glasgow for a new series currently being filmed.
And whilst Glasgow's food and drink selection is always impressing with new places opening each month, it's worth stopping in at the older establishments along the way.During his visit to the city, the television presenter reminisced about the late Anthony Bourdain who sadly passed away in 2018. The American chef released an episode dedicated to Scotland and Glasgow to form his 'Parts Unknown' series, visiting the cafe back in 2015.
In a clip in which Bourdain can be seen in the The University Cafe, the chef tucked into fish and chips with haggis with him admitting he was "so ashamed" as he set about his supper that "I'm pretty sure God is against", but insisted haggis was "really one of life's great pleasures". People in the comments were loving seeing the chef in the city, also reflecting on the late chef's visit.
