Watch charli_xcx & troyesivan cruise on their jet skis in the '2099' video
On Tuesday , Charli anddropped their new music video for "2099." A sequel, of sorts, to their earlier track "1999," the new video, directed by duo Bradley&Pablo, takes place entirely off of the coast of an island. The clip opens on Charli riding a jet ski through a cloud of smoke rolling off of a burning boat. Meanwhile, Sivan zips around on his own jet ski through the background.
As the video progresses, we see Troye -- or, at least, a stunt double who looks an awful lot like him -- doing massive flips and tricks on his jet ski as Charli pulls off every imaginable pose on her water craft. Eventually, Troye pulls up alongside Charli and leaps onto the back of her jet ski, as the two drive off with a full crew riding in a V-formation behind them.
