“I fought to make a design that was strong, that was unique, that — more than just launching a single collection — would become an eternal reference,” Helleu said of the design at the time of its release.Article contentThirty five years later, the Première has been reimagined for today by Arnaud Chastaingt, the director of the Watchmaking Creation Studio at Chanel, with the Première Original Edition.“The Première was the first page in our watchmaking history,” Chastaingt says.
“Exaggerated, agglomerated, superposed, stacked, I have chosen to pay tribute to Première by playing with excess,” Chastaingt said of the trio of timepieces.
