I understand he wants to make money.” And with that last point, Chimaev says it all. Canelo has suggested himself that Usman is just looking for a payday and given that fact that boxing is generally a more lucrative sport than UFC – at least at the top – and Canelo is probably the number one draw in the world right now, it’s easy to see why.Getty Images - GettyThe Nigerian Nightmare, 34, is unbeaten in the UFC and has defended his title five times already. Usman is 20-1 overall and on an 18-fight win streak.
Still, Chimaev believes that Jon Jones, the former light-heavyweight champion whose only loss was a DQ that Dana White wants overturned, is actually the pound-for-pound king.
