Shamokin police arrested a 21-year-old man Friday in connection with the death of the 43-year-old woman, who tried to defend herself, according to a search warrant.

SHAMOKIN-A Northumberland County man has been charged with killing a woman with a sword at his Shamokin home three days ago, a horrific scene that wasn’t discovered until Friday.

The newspaper, citing a search warrant affidavit, states Quincy admitted using a sword that was large enough to completely penetrate through the woman’s body as she tried to defend herself.During an interview at the Shamokin police station, Quincy claimed Pearce became upset when they ran out of drugs and demanded that he acquire more. The defendant told officers he punched and stabbed the victim after she threatened to call police.

Quincy spoke to his father, Ronald Quincy, who was not in the room when stabbing occurred, about what had occurred. The suspect told officers he got high after the killing in an attempt to figure out what to do, the warrant stated.
